The most important thing to understand is that the prefix “io” in this game does not mean that the project belongs to the series of the same name. The developers most likely wanted to gain additional recognition due to the well-known postscript, otherwise Survivor io has no relation to other low-quality games.

The gameplay is similar to Vampire survivor.io : you drive around the location, kill crowds of enemies, gain experience and upgrade your weapons/passive skills. However, if Vampire Survivors is almost impossible to beat, this game has a story. The unpleasant thing is that there are energy restrictions, due to which it will not be possible to complete more than 6-7 races at a time.

survivor.io : how to get through

To beat survivor.io , you need to go on missions, which are called “Chapters” here, and survive in them for 15 minutes. Depending on the chapter, the landscape and map change. For example, in the third chapter, “Underground Parking,” the map is limited, and completing it will take not 15 minutes, but 10.

Every 5 minutes (and every 2 on small maps) a boss appears. There are quite a lot of them here: from harmless dogs and flower spitters to deadly mutants similar to Nemesis from Resident Evil. Typically, each boss has 2-3 unique moves, and if the first ones are easy to deal with, then you will have to sweat.

survivor.io : Chapters and Side Missions

The game already has as many as 40 chapters, enough gameplay for a year to come. At a certain point, the opponents become very strong, so you have to slow down. Fortunately, in addition to the main mode, there are daily dungeons for farming gold and challenges for getting evolution points and diamonds.

It turns out that the player needs to complete the main tasks, and when the difficulty increases, he needs to farm items for himself, upgrade them for gold and blueprints, and pass tests to improve the character’s branch of evolution.

survivor.io : weapons

There are a lot of weapons in the game – most of the guns duplicate weapons from Vampire Survivors. Conventionally, it can be divided into two types: some weapons deal point damage to one target, others hit the area, causing less damage, but to a larger number of enemies. Weapons are pumped up to 5 stars, and then, if the character has selected the necessary passive skill, they can be evolved. Here are all the types of weapons in Survivor.io:

• Katana, kunai, bat, shotgun and revolver  are the starting weapons in the character’s hand. Selected from inventory. The most effective options are a kunai and a bat.
• RPG – fires an explosive rocket, causing area damage. After evolution, it fires a black rocket that deals significant damage to groups of enemies.
• Laser and electric coil – massively hit random targets from the sky. After evolution, the damage increases significantly, and more enemies are hit.
• Molotov Cocktail – Throws Molotov cocktails on the floor. The higher the leveling, the more fiery puddles appear. After evolution, creates a large ring of fire around the character.
• Drilling Shot – A drilling bullet that goes right through enemies and ricochets off walls. After evolving, it turns into a death arrow that homing in on nearby enemies and piercing them, dealing a lot of damage.
• Sticky Durian is a huge zucchini that ricochets off walls and goes right through enemies. After evolution, it turns into a metal spiked ball, which also shoots spikes. The best weapon in the game.
• Brick – throws a brick over the character, which subsequently falls down. After evolution, throws 8 iron weights in all directions at once. They pass through enemies and deal a lot of damage.
• Soccer Ball – The ball ricochets from enemy to enemy and deals powerful targeted damage. After evolution, it turns into an iron sphere; in one salvo, 10 spheres fly out, which ricochet between enemies.
• Drone A and Drone B are two drones that fly around the character and fire small missiles in an area. They do a lot of damage. Drones do not need passive skills – you just need to upgrade each of them to 5 stars to get the “Weapon of Death” – a powerful robotic machine that hits the area.
• A force field is an aura around the character that deals damage to everyone in its radius every second. After evolution, it creates “my world”, in which all enemies also slow down.
• The boomerang is a weapon that returns back to the character and hits everyone it hits in flight. After evolution, it releases two deadly boomerangs that circle around the player.
• Guardians are  mechanical blades that surround the player and block projectiles flying at them. After evolution, there are more blades and they do not disappear.

Getting a weapon evolution is very easy: upgrade any weapon to 5 stars and take the desired passive skill, you don’t need to upgrade it to 5 stars. The game itself will tell you which passive ability to take.

 total, you can take 6 weapons and 6 passive skills into one battle. At the same time, if you select drones and connect them, an additional slot for weapons will be freed up. With this trick you can get 7 weapons at once in Survivor io, but this is quite difficult to do. While you are collecting robots, you might just get killed =)

Competent leveling in the game

Surely you have a question about builds… and there is no clear answer to it. Depending on the chapter, the approach to completing it changes. For example, in the first chapters there are almost no ranged enemies, and blades are not useful there. But in narrow spaces, blades will come in handy against mutated soldiers.

On some maps there are many strong opponents, on others there are clouds of butterflies or bats that overwhelm you in numbers. The best advice is to adapt to the situation that Survivor io creates and balance between high-damage single-target weapons and AoE guns.

Don’t forget to improve the things in your inventory, and if you find cooler clothes, disassemble the old one to return all the money and drawings and transfer them to a new thing. Be sure to look into the improvement tree – small increases in basic stats and additional evolutions for completing “Trials” make life easier on the battlefield.
